ルイヴィトンの店頭に佇む、草間彌生先生・・・。

村上隆さんの花模様に続く日本人アーティストの
フィーチャーですが、さすがに蝋人形のディスプレイは
存在感が半端ないです。

Now, Louis Vuitton is collaborating with Japanese contemporary artsit, Yayoi Kusama, known as her dot works.

I took this phot at Louis Vitton' s flagship shop in Omotesando.

Can you see the waxwork of Kusama in the display?

ちょっと見ないだけで、秋葉原の街は大きく変わってしまいましたね。
抜群の集客力を背景に、真新しいビルやチェーン店が多くなって。

でも、そんなビルの谷間にも、こうして古そうな建物が残っています。
隣のラーメン屋は比較的新しそう。

こうした光景が残っているのも、秋葉原らしいところです。

The small building on the left is a company, which selling seaweed.
The other side is ramen shop.

The seaweed company looks old, and keep the ancient Akihabara view.

In last decade, Akihabara changed drastically. But you can find old shops in some places.

一時期は「ヒルズ族」に代表されるネット成金・拝金主義者の巣窟のように
言われていましたが、先の震災で万全の防災対策もあり、
今は悪し様に言われることが少なくなったような気もします。

Well known building in Japan, this is Mori tower.

In the past, this tower was looked as a symbol of mammonists. Because Lehman brothers or  internet companies were tenants of the tower.
Right now, that kind of images are resolved after the earthquake. This building was well prepared for the incident, and serve electricity to TEPCO while electricity shortage.

実は、これは大阪で撮りました。東京のブログなのに。

白黒で撮ると、ちょっと迫ってくる感じが増しますね。
誰か前を歩いていたら、もっと迫力があったかもしれませんが、
人の顔を載せるのは躊躇してしまいますし・・・。

また、タバコの広告なので、載せるのはどうかとも思いましたけど

詳しい場所は失念してしまいました。

池袋だとイケフクロウが有名ですけど、これは違いますよね。

I cannot remember exact place, but it should be in Ikebukuro.

In Japanese, Owl is "Fukuro". The sound is similar to "Bukuro", so
owl became a mascot of the Ikebukuro city.

The trucks are ordinary type in Japan. Nothing special.
But in midnight, I often feel that these like a kind of movie set.
They have reality, but no one are using at the time.

I don't know why...

グローバルなラグジュアリーブランドだと、ディスプレイも共通な感じの
ものを使っているのでしょうか。

ちなみに、ルイヴィトンは草間彌生でしたが、後日載せます。

The opposite side of the street is Louis Vuitton's store. The display was Yayoi Kusama, a famous Japanese contemporary artist, known as her works with many dots.

The Tsukiji market has many types of food shops, not only fish.
Here, this shop sell Kimchi, a typical Korean hot food.

新聞社の積出し

築地にあります新聞社といえば朝日新聞を連想しますが、
こちらは日刊スポーツです。印刷した新聞をトラックに載せるための機械が
並んでいます。夜中に通りますと、日刊スポーツのトラックが
随分と走り回っております。

でも、これから新聞が電子化されていくにつれ、こうした光景も
無くなっていくのでしょうか・・・？これも、また歴史的な風景として
記録していきたいものです。

This photo is about the ground floor of Nikkan Sports, a daily sports newspaper.
The machines carries printed newspaper from other floor and load on trucks.

However, how long can we see these views ? Because many newspapers or books
are transfer to electric data. These machines may be a historical heritage in near future.

日本を代表する建築家、丹下健三の設計した、旧・電通本社ビル。現・電通テックビルです。

このビル単体で構想されたのではなく、実は築地一体の再開発を目指したプロジェクトの
一部として構想されました。中は見学できるのでしょうか・・・？ちょっと見てみたいですね。
コンクリートのカタマリ感があって良い感じのビルです。

このビルを見ると、ちょっとウルトラマンっぽいなあ、と思ってしまうんですね。
調べてみると、このビルの竣工とウルトラマン初代の放送は同じ1967年。
やっぱり、時代の雰囲気なんでしょうか。


This building was design by Kenzo Tange, a famous Japanese architect.
The building was designed for Dentsu, a largest ad agency in Japan.

富岡八幡宮の例祭です。
「水かけ祭り」と言われるだけあり、沿道からはドンドンと水が掛けられています。
暑い日でしたが、爽やかでしたね。ちなみに、江戸三大祭の一つに数えられています。

Tomioka Hachiman Shrine's festival. Fukagawa is name of the area.
The audience pour water towards the participants. 
 This day was very hot, so the participants could enjoy the water.

This festival is one of the Three Yedo Festival.

 暑い時には、ちょっとひとっ風呂入って、
さっぱりしたいものです。

場外市場の中ですが、すっかり人通りもなく。
昼間の賑やかさが嘘のようですね。

Very calm in the night. It is like a back stage of a theatre.
All equipments are ready to the play, but everything is calm.
They often loose reality in backstage, and regain it at the limelight.

大きすぎて怖い。

ここは、テリー伊藤の実家である築地場外市場の玉子焼き店「丸武」です。
こうして実家の広告塔になるというのも、親孝行（いや、お兄さんのアニー伊藤さんが
やっていらっしゃるようなので兄孝行？） ですね。

This store is not a fish shop, Tamagoyaki . This is also a delicious sushi neta.

This man's name is Terry Ito, a famous Japanese TV director, producer. 
Marutake is his family business.

 築地近辺に来ますと、こういう車体の前に円筒形のエンジンが乗った
小さい乗り物が走り回っておりますが、これはターレットトラックというものです。
深夜でも市場の近くを飛ばしています。


This small truck is called "Turret Truck". When you go to the fish market,
you can find it very easy, even in midnight.

真夜中の築地でも働いているクルマが多い築地市場。
場外でも、こうしてフォークリフトやターレットトラックが忙しそうに働いております。

Do you know the Tsukiji fish market in midnight ?
Majority of the stores are closed,even some sushi restaurants are opened 24 hours, these small forklifts or trucks are still working.

「テマヒマ展」が開催中の、東京ミッドタウン「21_21 DESIN SIGHT」。
まっとうに生きることの尊さに気付かされます。

この建物の設計は安藤忠雄ですね。


21_21 design sight is a design museum in Tokyo Midtown.
They do not exhibit permanent collection, but always organizing interesting exhibition.
This summer, they opened ”Tema Hima”, about local traditional industry in Tohoku (where the earthquake attacked last year).

One more thing, this building is designed by Tadao Ando.

いまは盆踊りを開催しています。この写真は、少し前に撮りました。
