村上隆さんの花模様に続く日本人アーティストの
フィーチャーですが、さすがに蝋人形のディスプレイは
存在感が半端ないです。

Now, Louis Vuitton is collaborating with Japanese contemporary artsit, Yayoi Kusama, known as her dot works.

I took this phot at Louis Vitton' s flagship shop in Omotesando.

Can you see the waxwork of Kusama in the display?

ちょっと見ないだけで、秋葉原の街は大きく変わってしまいましたね。
抜群の集客力を背景に、真新しいビルやチェーン店が多くなって。

でも、そんなビルの谷間にも、こうして古そうな建物が残っています。
隣のラーメン屋は比較的新しそう。

こうした光景が残っているのも、秋葉原らしいところです。

The small building on the left is a company, which selling seaweed.
The other side is ramen shop.

The seaweed company looks old, and keep the ancient Akihabara view.

In last decade, Akihabara changed drastically. But you can find old shops in some places.

一時期は「ヒルズ族」に代表されるネット成金・拝金主義者の巣窟のように
言われていましたが、先の震災で万全の防災対策もあり、
今は悪し様に言われることが少なくなったような気もします。


Roppongi hills

Well known building in Japan, this is Mori tower.

In the past, this tower was looked as a symbol of mammonists. Because Lehman brothers or  internet companies were tenants of the tower.
Right now, that kind of images are resolved after the earthquake. This building was well prepared for the incident, and serve electricity to TEPCO while electricity shortage.

実は、これは大阪で撮りました。東京のブログなのに。

白黒で撮ると、ちょっと迫ってくる感じが増しますね。
誰か前を歩いていたら、もっと迫力があったかもしれませんが、
人の顔を載せるのは躊躇してしまいますし・・・。

また、タバコの広告なので、載せるのはどうかとも思いましたけど

たぶん、池袋の地下のほうだったと思うんですけど、
詳しい場所は失念してしまいました。

池袋だとイケフクロウが有名ですけど、これは違いますよね。

Wall Owl

I cannot remember exact place, but it should be in Ikebukuro.

In Japanese, Owl is "Fukuro". The sound is similar to "Bukuro", so
owl became a mascot of the Ikebukuro city.

普通の軽トラですけど、誰もいない築地って、
なんだか映画のセットみたいな感じもするんですよね。
 不思議ですけど。

The trucks are ordinary type in Japan. Nothing special.
But in midnight, I often feel that these like a kind of movie set.
They have reality, but no one are using at the time.

I don't know why...
