何でしょうね。

I found it at the  front of a store next to Kabuki-za.
I have no idea what it is.

変わる渋谷をどう思っているんだろうと思いきや、
彼の居る場所からはヒカリエとか見えないんですよね。
見たいだろうなあ。

Not "Moai" Statue.
This statue is well known as a meeting place in Shibuya.
 He came from Niijima island, 160km south of Tokyo.

銀座三越前から和光

黄昏時になると、勤め帰りのビジネスマンが多くなる。
1932年の建物だというから、今年で80年か。
昭和の激動期、戦乱、高度成長、バブル・・・。
彼の目にはいまは、、どう映っているのだろうか。

Ginza Wako Clock

A symbol of Ginza, the most luxurious shopping district in Japan.
People finished their work and going back to their home now.
 
 The Wako was built in 1932, so he is 80 years old.
Still he watching people's everyday life from the centre of Ginza.
 

勝鬨橋の信号 A signal of Kachidoki bridge

勝鬨橋の信号/Always you can go

勝鬨橋の信号。
昔、勝鬨橋はその名の通り
バンザイをするように橋桁が真ん中から割れ、
そこを大きな船が通れるようになっていた。

いまは、もう勝鬨をあげることはない。

だから、彼が勝鬨をあげていた時に待たされたドライバーたちは、
この信号には二度と止められないのだ。


A signal of Kachidoki bridge

This bridge is near the Fish market of Tsukiji.
Built in 1940, one of the important Cultural Properties of Japan.

The bridge is a double-leaf bascule bridge, so this signal used to stopping cars while
raising a drawbridge for the ships on Sumida river.

Now, they stopped raising.. Always you can cross the river.

「盆」というと8月のように思うが、こちらは7月開催。
とても不思議な拍子に合わせて踊るので、
ちょっと普通の盆踊りとは違う。どうやら、古いカタチが残っているようだ。

月島草市の夜 Tsukishima Kusa Ichi

月島草市の夜

もんじゃ焼きで有名な月島で

2012年7月14日(土)～15日(日) に開催された。
お盆の道具を売るための店が立ち並んだことが
始まりらしいが、これ自体もお祭り的な気分。
露店も多い。

三菱一号館美術館の庭 Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum, Tokyo

三菱一号館美術館の庭。
一度は壊された昔のオフィスビルを、まったく同じ工法と材料で再現し、
美術館として活用しています。
 建築当時も、同じような庭があって、同じように人が木陰で涼んでいたのでしょうか？
