新しくて古い学校

もともと関東大震災後に建てられた古い校舎だったのですが、
建て替えられて、すっかり新しくなってしまいました。

でも、、デザインは当時のものを踏襲しています。

三菱一号館美術館と同じパターンですね。

中央区立明石町学校。


New, but old school

This school was build after the 1923 Great Kanto earthquake,
and survived the Bombing of Tokyo.

It was rebuild this year and original building was demolished,
but new building is copying the old one style.

This pattern is similar to the Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum, Tokyo.
